The Ghana Football Association says the appointment of new technical staff for the Black Stars will help the team reach its targets at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum explained that the changes are part of a clear plan to strengthen the national team ahead of the tournament.
Several new faces have joined the technical setup. They include Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren and Carlos Lozano Romero as team physiotherapist, Alain Ravera as assistant coaches, Dwayne Peasah Paa Kwesi as performance coach, and Jose Daniel Martinez Alfonso as scout and video analyst.
Speaking on the appointments, Asante Twum said: “Our goal at the World Cup is to make an impact, and we can only achieve that with the best expertise guiding us. We believe these coaches will take us where we want to be.”
Ghana has been placed in Group L with Panama, England, and Croatia. The Black Stars will begin their campaign against Panama on June 17, 2026, before facing England on June 23. They will end the group stage against Croatia on June 27.
As part of preparations, head coach Otto Addo and his squad are expected to regroup in March for international friendly matches against Austria and Germany.
