In this morning's protest, demonstrators were seen carrying placards with various messages, some of which included: "Kurt go away," "Football is not politics," "FIFA and CAF must speak now," and "Sports Minister, act now."

The current GFA president, Kurt Okraku, is poised to run uncontested in the upcoming GFA presidential elections after his rival, George Afriyie, was disqualified. Afriyie, a former vice president of the Ghana FA, had hoped to unseat Okraku after losing to him four years ago.

However, in September, Afriyie was disqualified by the Elections Committee for failing to secure the required number of endorsements from GFA members for his candidacy.

Afriyie has taken legal action, seeking an injunction to halt the presidential election, and is also contesting his disqualification at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Additionally, Ghanaian club King Faisal, led by its owner Alhaji Karim Grunsah, has filed a separate injunction to halt the elections.
