Ghana and Tottenham Hotspur attacker, Kudus Mohammed is very much focused on playing his second FIFA World Cup and is very determined to helping the country punch their ticket to the next edition.
The 25-year-old was once again included in coach Otto Addo’s squad for the final matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Central African Republic and Comoros.
The four-time African champions have been very impressive so far in the qualifying series with six wins from eight matches and are currently leading Group I with 19 points.
The Black Stars now need four points from the remaining possible six to officially secure qualification to the fifth FIFA World Cup with most of the current players looking ready to help make that happen.
Speaking ahead of the game, the versatile forward says they are focused on qualifying to the competition first and added they are capable of surpassing the country’s best run of reaching the quarter-final.
“We have to qualify at all cost and I think we’re on the right path now.
“In the 2010 World Cup, we went all the way to the quarter-final and u believe this squad can do more than that. But first we have to qualify and then we can focus on the tournament.”
The invited players are expected to start arriving this weekend in Morocco to begin preparations towards their remaining two games of the World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars will play Central African Republic on Wednesday October 8 in Meknes, before they return to the country to host Comoros on Sunday October 12, 2025.
