The second tier football in Ghana has reached its midway point with one match left to exhaust the first round of the GN Division One League in the country and teams are shaping up well for a better position before the first round of the league.

Zone Two of the division one league has always been one of the toughest and fiercely contested zone and akin has been the story this season with all sixteen teams fighting for glory to reach the echelon of professional football in the country.

The Public Relations Officer of Kumasi Cornerstones who are among the sixteen teams in that zone, Jawad Mohammed Obama had express bitterness in the way and manner some clubs are favored to get promotion in the top flight football in the country.

Speaking with kickgh.com's Sadick Abdul Lateef, Jawad believes the performance of Elmina Sharks does not warrant them a place at the summit of the zone two in the division one league in the country and that his side Kumasi Cornerstones has been a better side than the Cape Coast side. "Those who manage the Division one has some sort of partiality for some clubs and do want them get qualification into the premier league.

Elmina Sharks are yet to lose a match both home and away with a lot favouritism on their part by officials of the game". "My team has been a better side throughout the games played thus far in the division one than Sharks who I rate only 80 percent to that of my team's 85 percent". Jawad, who thinks officials and managers of the DOL have dented their confidence of getting into the premiership still has some hopes in the second round if there is fairness on the part of officials. "We will come with full force in the second round and make sure we qualify to the premiership after so many years even though it looks quite unlikely."
