Two of the Premier League's top ten seeded teams go head-to-head on Sunday when Western Regional club FC Samartex and Bechem United do battle.
The Timber Giants, who may have one eye on their ambition to gallivant into the top four at the end of the season have won four, drew one and lost one of their last six matches in the topflight and are in the closing stages of not-way-too-bad campaign under Coach Christopher Ennin, in his first season.
Still in the hunt for the top four, the weekend duel with recently-inconsistent Bechem United could prove pivotal as they keep their status as one of the giants of Ghana football.
Match Preview
After beating Legon Cities two weeks ago, Kwaku Danso's side aims to take another sizeable step towards securing top four finish as they lurk right behind (8th on 43 points) Samartex (7th on 45 points) on the league table
However, the Timber Giants' staggering campaign towards the end of the season will get even better should they triumph this weekend over the Hunters at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi.
FC Samartex possible starting lineup (4-2-3-1):
Issah (GK); Siaw (C), Acquah, Adabo, Essien, Mamah, Mankuyeli, Musa, Sarpong, Sefah, Sewornu
Bechem United possible starting lineup (4-3-3):
Anning (GK); Nyarko (C), Abban, Abdulai, Acheampong, Acquah, London, Owusu, Sanut, Tompuo, Yeboah
We say: Samartex 2-1 Bechem United
Samartex and Bechem United have both been recent over-performers in the Premier League, assembling well-organised and impressive squads capable of bettering anyone on their day. It will be intriguing to see who blinks first on Sunday, with the Timber Giants boasting home advantage but their visitors exceptional on the counter-attack.
Bechem United's recent poor showing certainly hands Samartex a slight advantage, with changes possible within Danso's starting lineup. But Sunday's hosts are likely to keep the three points at home as they would want to see Bechem United exiting Samreboi red sore faced.
Kickoff for this match is scheduled at 15:00 GMT, on Sunday May 18.
