Legon Cities play host to Karela United on Sunday afternoon under pressure to deliver a much-needed three points as they bid to climb out of the red zone of the Ghana Premier League standings.
While the Pride and Passion make the long trip to the University of Ghana Stadium in 17th position, tied on the same points with their hosts.
Match Preview
Had Cities left Vision FC without a draw on Saturday afternoon, Paa Kwasi Fabin would have been receiving credit for nullifying one of the season's most impressive debutants.
Instead, a 1-1 draw without laying further gloves on the Tema based outfit has led to criticism of the Royals tactics in Tema New Town - Legon Cities are yet to win a single game after three rounds of matches into the campaign.
Last weekend, Karela ignited their winless streak - failing to end a run of three matches without success in the top flight as they posted a 1-1 home draw against Accra Lions at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex.
With hosts - Cities hoping not to drop points again, the visitors will come in as fellow wounded Lion, yet the greater concern will lie with the Royal making sure the three maximum points does not travel out of the corridors of Legon to Nalerigu.
Team News
With Cities full house ready to dazzle, Fabin could revert back to a defensive four.
Ishmael Amoah is expected to remain down the centre of attack for this contest.
Yeboah, Fusseini and Asamoah are all options if Fabin wishes to introduce fresh legs.
Jimmy Cobblah has a fully-fit Karela squad at his disposal and that could lead to alterations after the draw stalemate against Accra Lions.
Legon Cities possible starting lineup:
Aziz (G), Akoto (C), Quartey, Kamal, Alidu, Tagoe, Sumaila, Gyesi, J. Amoah, I. Amoah, Twum.
Karela United possible starting lineup:
Ganiu (GK), Abdulai, Aboubakar, Konadu, Firdaus, Gariba, G. Ibrahim, N. Ibrahim, Issah, Latif, Rahman.
We say: Legon Cities 2-2 Karela
Given the inconsistency of both sides, this is a difficult match to predict. Cobblah must also find a balance with this clash to come, which could lead to a slightly chaotic - but entertaining - share of the spoils being played out.
