The former Ghana FA veep should not waste time to go for a review after being disqualified from running the Ghana Football Association's presidential race, according to the firebrand football administrator
General Manager of Aduana Stars FC Takyi Arhin has urged Ghana Football Association presidential hopeful George Afriyie not to appeal against the decision of his disqualification from contesting the hotseat as he believes that the appeal will amount to nothing at the end of the hearing.
The vociferous Planners Athletic Club bankroller has been deemed unfit to run for the elections by the Ghana FA vetting committee led by Joseph Bernard Ashalley after the vetting exercise.
This decision has ruffled feathers in the West African nation as he was considered to be a strong contender against the incumbent president Kurt ES Okraku for the September polls.
And now, according to fire-spitting Takyi Arhin, the former Ghana FA vice president and his sympathizers should keep quiet and suffer as he ought to have known better the reasons being cited for his disqualification by the vetting committee over the breach of the statutes ahead of the impending elections.
"The rules are simple, and as a former GFA vice president, it is expected that he knows these things better. He is supposed to get six endorsements from directors of clubs, how difficult is that? I would advise that they keep quiet and suffer because should they appeal, it would be a waste of time because the rules of the game were breached.” the tough-talking football administrator told Happy FM
George Afriyie has the right to appeal the decision by Monday (11 September).
