Ghana Premier League outfit Asante Kotoko have terminated their contract with Enoch Morrison ahead of the 2024–25 season's campaign, Kickgh.com can authoritatively confirm.

Morrison, who arrived at the club in 2022 from King Faisal FC, has been declared as surplus to requirements by Prosper Narteh Ogum's led technical team after the end of the season.

The 24-year-old becomes the nineteenth player to be released by Asante Kotoko after the just-concluded Ghana Premier League season.

His contract was expected to expire in June 2025.

Morrison made 22 league appearances for Asante Kotoko in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League with a goal and two assists to his credit.

In a shock move, the club parted ways with 18 players last week, including Kalo Ouattara, Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong, and Nicholas Mensah. The others let go were John Tedeku, Sherif Mohammed, George Mfegue, Serge Eric Zeze, Danlad Ibrahim, Moise Pouaty, Samuel Asamoah, Nanabayin Amoah, Isahaku Fuseini, Rocky Dwamena, Richmond Opoku, Julius Ofori Ziggy, and youngster Shadrack Addo.

The mass exodus comes after Kotoko failed to win the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the 2023/24 campaign and finished 6th in the standings.

The club is expected to revamp its squad ahead of the next season.
