Abdul Karim Zito, the head coach of Dreams FC, has pledged to lead his team in a battle to retain their Ghana Premier League status, citing exhaustion from competing in multiple tournaments this season.

Following Dreams FC's exit from the MTN FA Cup semifinals, where they lost 2-1 to Bofoakwa Tano, Zito voiced his concerns about the team's fatigue. This disappointment came on the heels of their earlier elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup, suffering a 3-0 aggregate defeat to Egyptian side SC Zamalek.

The loss to Zamalek marked the conclusion of Dreams' inaugural campaign in the continental competition, ending their aspirations of reaching the tournament finals.

With their continental and domestic cup endeavors now behind them, Zito emphasized the need to shift focus towards securing their place in the Ghana Premier League. He stressed the importance of ensuring the team's sustainability before allowing them a well-deserved break.

Expressing concern for his players' well-being, Zito stated, "My boys have had enough for the year. Seriously, they’ve had enough and I think we will do our best to maintain ourselves in the league and then give them a long break or else we will break down."
