Newly crowned Ghanaian champions Bibiani Goldstars made a late push to beat Accra Hearts of Oak to the signature of Legon Cities left-back Joseph Amoah.
A deal is "dangerously close" as the Miners are reportedly prepared to do whatever it takes to get an agreement over the line.
Amoah, who joined the Royals from lower-tier side Benab FC last season, has been a pivotal player for the team, garnering attention from several clubs, including Hearts and Nations FC. During his inaugural season, he recorded four goals and eight assists in 24 appearances.
In the most recent campaign, he contributed six assists in 24 games, although the team ultimately fell short of avoiding relegation.
Representatives of Amoah recently met with Hearts' manager, Abubakar Ouattara, to discuss a potential transfer deal. Prior to this meeting, discussions were also held with Nations FC, who have expressed interest in acquiring his services.
Talks are imminent between Amoah and the management of the Goldstars, with discussions centered on a potential transfer deal.
In preparation for their inaugural continental campaign, the Miners are looking to bolster their squad depth to ensure competitiveness and success.
