Hearts of Oak have commenced discussions with former Black Meteors goalkeeper Kwame Baah regarding a potential transfer, as reported by Sportsworldghana.com.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper had made a move to the Ethiopian Premier League outfit, Adama City FC, on a free transfer after leaving Asante Kotoko SC when his contract expired in 2022.
However, following the conclusion of his one-year contract with Adama City, Baah has returned to Ghana and is currently in talks with the Phobians for a potential transfer to the capital-based club.
Sources close to Sportsworldghana have revealed that Baah is expected to conclude negotiations with Hearts in the coming days and is set to commence training with the team on Monday, October 2, at Pobiman.
With his wealth of experience, Kwame Baah is poised to make a substantial contribution to Hearts of Oak's goalkeeping department, which already includes Eric Ofori Antwi, Richard Attah, and Richmond Ayi.
Baah initially joined Kotoko in July 2019, making the move from Inter Allies FC. During his tenure with the club, he featured in a total of 24 matches, conceding 12 goals while keeping 12 clean sheets.
Furthermore, Baah played a pivotal role as Ghana's first-choice goalkeeper at the U23 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt in 2019, playing a significant part in the Black Meteors' fourth-place finish. He had previously represented the Ghana U20 national team.
