The 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will conclude with an exciting match between newly crowned champions Samartex and runners-up Accra Lions in week 34.
This much-anticipated game is set for Sunday afternoon at the Nsenkyire Park in Samreboi.
Samartex, who have already clinched the league title, aim to finish their season on a positive note despite their recent inconsistent form. The champions have lost three and won two of their last five matches, including a 4-2 defeat to Karela United in their previous outing. Seidu Abubakar and Emmanuel Mamah scored for Samartex in that match, but their efforts were insufficient to secure a win.
Accra Lions, meanwhile, have demonstrated more consistent form recently. They have drawn twice, won twice, and lost once in their last five games. They come into this match on the back of a 1-0 victory over Dreams FC in week 33.
Samartex currently leads the league table with 58 points, while Accra Lions hold second place with 51 points.
After the match, Samartex will be officially crowned the Ghana Premier League champions. The kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
