The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League is heating up fast and the numbers tell their own story. After 69 matches, it’s clear that home advantage continues to play a massive role in shaping this season’s title race.
According to the Ghana Football Association’s latest stats, home teams have been dominant, registering 39 wins compared to just 10 away victories, while 20 matches have ended in stalemates.
Fans have already witnessed 130 goals so far, with 89 coming from home sides and 41 from visiting teams. The attacking combativeness hasn’t slowed down either, with 58 first-half goals and 72 scored after recess, which proves that GPL teams love a late show.

The league’s fiery competitiveness is also reflected in the disciplinary numbers, with a total of 246 yellow cards and 10 red cards have been shown so far. Referees have awarded 16 penalties, with 15 converted and just one missed, while three own goals have added extra drama to the campaign.
Three outstanding matches remain to be played, but the early data suggests the 2025/26 season could be one of the most unpredictable yet.
As teams gear up for Matchweek 9, one thing’s certain, winning away from home remains the league’s toughest challenge.
