Newly-appointed Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara has totally ruled out any suggestion that they will win the league for now and stated they are taking things step by step until they reach the ultimate.
The Ivorian gaffer was appointed early last month, prior to the commencement of the second round and has been very impressive since his arrival in the capital.
He's won three and drawn two in his opening five matches with his last win coming against Heart of Lions in Kumasi and have currently risen up on the league log as they currently sit 7th with 32 points.
The Phobians' recent form is gradually becoming unstoppable and people have started routing for them to win the league title with their Congolese midfielder Linda Mtange affirming those claims and added they will have to ensure they win more of their subsequent games.
However, Aboubakar Ouattara holds different opinion as he's completely ruled out the league winning claims and stated it's a gradual process for now. He stated in an interview on Akoma FM in Kumasi;
"I have no magic, all I have is hard work and strategy. In our past games, we have consistently looked for opportunities to capitalize on the mistakes made by our opponents."
"A special thank you to the players for accepting the project in good faith, and to the fans who consistently turn out in large numbers to support us."
"We are taking things one step at a time, match by match, and are not focused on winning the league. Instead, we are trying to get the guys to play well but I can never guarantee the supporters the league title."
Hearts of Oak will travel to Samreboi to play league leaders Samartex FC in Ghana Premier League match-day 23 this weekend
