The former Black Stars right-back has made a shocking revelation after his exit from the Rainbow club after ten seasons.
Ex-Hearts of Oak skipper Fatawu Mohammed has disclosed that he was never a fan of the club despite captaining them for the past five years.
The 30-year-old in an interview with SportsObama TV said he has been a supporter of Hearts of Oak arch-rivals, Asante Kotoko since his childhood days.
Management of Hearts of Oak decided not to renew their contract with Mohammed after its expiration last month.
“I have never been a fan of Hearts of Oak. Oh yes, I am not fan of the club despite playing for almost ten years,” Fatawu Mohammed told Sports Obama TV
“My family support Asante Kotoko and I am a fan of that club. Yes, I am die hard supporter of Asante Kotoko” he added
Mohammed made over 100 appearances for Hearts of Oak since his arrival at the club from Real Tamale United in 2012.
The Tamale-born guided the club as captain to end its trophy drought during the 2020/21 season.
He won one Ghana Premier League title and two FA Cup trophies with Hearts of Oak during his ten-year stay at the club.
