Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon is very dissatisfied after his side’s defeat to champions Bibiani GoldStars in a stunning five-goal thriller over the weekend.
The ‘Still Believers’ took a two-goal lead in the first half and were on the verge of securing their first away win in the season but gave it all away to suffer a 3-2 loss against the Miners in a very entertaining GPL match-day 16 clash.
Abdul Razak Salifu netted twice in the space of thirteen minutes to hand the Neon-Greens a comfortable lead at half-time.
However, an explosive second half performance propelled the homesters to a great fight back with Barimah Baah netting twice coupled with another from Emmanuel Boateng Agyenim to claim all three points.
In a post-match interview, the enterprising gaffer says his lads played ro instructions and were very impressive until Adams Aminu’s 77th minute red card as he feels that changed the game and caused their defeat.
“It was a decent game. We started the game very high and managed to close the first half. In the second half, we did some tactical adjustment and our opponent also made some changes to their play. My disappointment was the red card, it really affected us. We didn’t defend well, we lost our shape and lost our discipline and conceded a late goal”
“I’m impressed with my boys’ performance but very disappointed with the results. To be fair, on the balance of play, at least we deserve something from this game. We were unlucky, they took their moment and won the match”
Dreams FC are currently in the 15th place with 17 points and will wrap up the first phase of the season against Basake Holy Stars.
