The Black Queens of Ghana have safely arrived in North Africa to begin their journey towards the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations which will be held early next year.
Coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren announced his 24-man squad for the game last week and have already touched down safely and even open camp already.
Having arrived not long ago in the city of Ismailia, the Queens held their first training session under the light and will start early in order for quick adaptation to have them adequately prepared for the game.
Skipper Portia Boakye, Chantelle-Hlorkah Boye, Josephine Bonsu, Doris Boaduwaa, Susan Ama Duah, Grace Asantewaa, Jennifer Cudjoe all made the cut and had full sessions in today’s training
While Ghana will be hoping for another AFCON spot after their heroics in the last edition, Egypt - who have also been growing faster in women football will be looking to win the tie and return to the continental showpiece.
The first leg is slated for Thursday, October 23, at the Ismailia-Suez Canal Stadium at 16:00GMT (4:00pm)
