The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has officially reappointed Stephen Constantine as head coach of the national team, alongside the Under-23 side, on a two-year renewable contract.
The 63-year-old English coach returns for a second spell, having previously led Rwanda from May 2014 to January 2015, during which he guided the Amavubi to a historic FIFA ranking of 64th, the nation’s highest ever.
Constantine, who most recently managed Pakistan between 2023 and 2025, will assume his duties immediately and is tasked with preparing Rwanda for the upcoming FIFA Series Tournament in Kigali City later this month.
FERWAFA expressed confidence in Constantine’s technical expertise and leadership, emphasizing that his appointment aligns with the country’s ambition to strengthen football structures and achieve success on both the continental and global stage.
The federation called on stakeholders, partners, and fans to rally behind the national team as Constantine begins his transformative mission. Further details regarding his technical plans and strategic roadmap will be revealed at a press conference scheduled next week.
