Dreams FC bare through to the group stage of the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup after eliminating FC Kallon of Sierra Leone in the preliminary round of the competition.

The match which was scheduled to be played in Sierra Leone was moved by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to the SDK Stadium in Liberia. The decision was made because none of the stadium in Sierra Leone met the CAF requirements.

Dreams FC continued their impressive performance and stood resolute at the back line, preventing the Sierra Leone outfit from causing any havoc before the break.
The host looked poised in the remaining minutes of the first half but their attempts of levelling the score were saved by goalkeeper Solomon Agbesi.
In the second half, Dreams FC fought hard of not conceding in the opening minute and it lasted until a late penalty was scored by FC Kallon.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw which helped Dreams FC to book a place in the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup for the first time on a 3-2 aggregate.
Dreams FC is the first Ghanaian club to qualify to the CAF Confederation Cup group stage since 2018. Asante Kotoko was the last club.
