Moroccan international Sofiane Boufal has officially announced his departure from Le Havre AC after helping the club secure Ligue 1 survival.
The 32-year-old confirmed the news on Instagram shortly after the end of the season, bringing an end to his short but influential spell with the French side.
Boufal joined Le Havre on a free transfer last winter following his exit from Union Saint-Gilloise and quickly became an important player under coach Didier Digard.
The experienced attacker featured in all 17 Ligue 1 matches during the second half of the campaign, starting 13 games while contributing one goal and four assists.
His performances played a key role in Le Havre’s successful fight to remain in the French top flight.
Boufal’s strong finish to the season has also revived his international ambitions, with the former Lille and Angers star reportedly included in Morocco’s preliminary squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The potential return would mark his first involvement with the Atlas Lions in nearly two and a half years.
After a successful stint in Normandy, attention now turns to Boufal’s next destination as he looks to continue his resurgence ahead of the World Cup.
