The 18-year-old budding winger of Kenyan heritage has completed his transfer switch to the German top division side from their elite club rivals ahead of the summer window
Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt have announced the signing of German-born Kenyan teenager Sadiki Chemwor from their fellow league heavyweight adversaries FC Bayern Munich.
The talented rising star, who is currently stirring with the FC Bayern U19 in the U19 Youth League, will team up with the Die Adler on July 1, 2026 as being officially communicated by those running the affairs of the Waldstadion campaigners.
A statement confirming the capturing of the Kenyan-prospect wideman by Eintracht Frankfurt reads: ''Sadiki Chemwor first started playing football for TSV Milbertshofen before joining Bayern Munich's youth academy as an eight-year-old, where he made his way up through the age groups.
''As of July 1, 2026, the 18-year-old will be an Eintracht Frankfurt player having signed professional terms with the club. The initial plan is for him to play primarily for the Eagles' U21 side.
''Since the 2023/24 season, Chemwor has made a total of 55 appearances for Bayern's U17 and U19 teams, recording eight goals and 12 assists. This season, he has been involved in the DFB Youth League, the UEFA Youth League and the DFB Cup, featuring in 19 matches thus far. Chemwor, who also has British citizenship, has won a total of five caps for Germany's U16 and U17 sides.''
Sporting director Timmo Hardung has said of the signing of the teenager to his club's official website: ''Sadiki Chemwor is a highly talented player with an excellent football education. We are convinced that he will be able to extract his full potential here at Eintracht Frankfurt. His quality, mentality and game intelligence make him someone we believe has a very exciting future.''
Given his Kenyan heritage, the budding star still remains fit to switch nationality allegiance by representing the Kenyan football national team at the senior level despite playing for the Germany U16 & U17 national youth teams.
