Ghana young forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was named the best player when Leicester City snatched a narrow away victory over AFC Bournemouth to reach the last 8 of English FA Cup.
Fatawu Issahaku, who climbed off the bench to score the only goal in the all-important fixture, was named the man of the match following his explosive performance at the Vitality Stadium.
Fatawu Issahaku scored a stunning extra-time screamer to help Championship leaders Leicester City progress past Premier League side AFC Bournemouth into the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The tie finished goalless at the Vitality Stadium in normal time, with both sides hitting the post, alongside missing presentable chances.
With the half-time whistle approaching in extra time, Fatawu collected the ball on the edge of the area and curled a shot into the top right corner, via the fingertips of Cherries keeper Mark Travers.
The goal was enough to see Enzo Maresca's side through to the last eight for the first time since they won the tournament in 2021.
The defeat stretches Bournemouth's winless run to six games in all competitions but they can now concentrate on securing their Premier League survival, with Andoni Iraola's side currently eight points clear of the drop zone.
The 19-year-old has scored four goals and provided nine assists for Leicester City across all competitions in 30 game outings in his maiden season at the club.
Fatawu Issahaku joined Leicester City on a season-long loan deal from Portuguese top-tier club Sporting CP and expected to move permanently to the Foxes in the next summer transfer window.
