The 24-year-old defender has revealed talks with his compatriot before sealing his loan move to his current employers this summer
Ghanaian defender Nana Antwi has said he contacted fellow Ghana and Steaua București midfielder Baba Alhassan before joining Romanian Superliga side FC sideHermannstadt.
The ex-Young Wise stopper, who is owned by Romanian giants FC Steaua București, will spend the rest of the 2024-25 football campaign on a season-long loan deal at the Municipal Stadium.
Right after putting pen to paper on the deal of his transfer switch, the 24-year-old defender revealed that he had an insightful information about his new club from his fellow countryman who once spent time with them in the top-flight, telling his club's official website: "I like the club and I like how the team plays here."
"I think Hermannstadt will have a great season and I'm very happy to be part of this team. I like the club and I like how the team plays here. I'm at Hermannstadt to train well and help."
He continued: "I also spoke with Baba Alhassan about Hermannstadt. I really like it here and I want to be part of this family. Baba told me that it is a good team that has a very good coach. So I like it here."
"Sibiu is TOP! I tell the supporters to have faith. This season we will give our best to reach our goals. The Hermannstadt force!"
Antwi, who was once courted by Danish Superliga giants FC Copenhagen prior to his move to FC Steaua București, is yet to earn his international cap with the Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars.
