The ex-Gunners' midfielder believes the 24-year-old nimble-footed playmaker will be the ideal man to replace the injured England international and should be snapped up in the winter transfer window
Ghana international attacking midfielder Kudus Mohammed is a perfect replacement for injured England international winger Bukayo Saka as he's capable of doing the work up front, according to retired Arsenal's great Adrian James Clarke.
With the 23-year-old English giants linchpin set for a long spell on the sidelines this season, the former Ajax midfielder has seen a move to the north London side mooted in the January transfer window.
That notwithstanding, the man who's still being revered by the Emirates Stadium campaigners, has urged his former employers to go for the Ghanaian international playmaker as he's convinced that he has what it takes to fill the void left by the Arsenal youth product in Mikel Arteta's set-up given his similarities in terms of talent with the winger of Nigerian descent.
''Mohammed Kudus is a player that Arsenal have had a long-term interest in. He is a perfect Bukayo Saka replacement who can also do a job up front,” Clarke told talkSPORT. “Wonderful traveller with the ball at his feet. Could Arsenal test West Ham United’s resolve with an offer this month? he added by quizzing.
It remains to be seen if the north London outfit will make an official approach for the former FC Nordsjaelland midfielder when the transfer window opens although they may face stiff competitions from their top guns rivals as Liverpool and Manchester City are also believed to be in the running for his signature.
Kudus has so far netted 3 goals and assisted 1 in 13 league games for West Ham in this ongoing Premier League campaign.
He's currently boasting of 34 caps with Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars with 11 goals to his name.
