Austrian Bundesliga side LASK Linz have strengthened their attacking midfield line with the signing of Ibrahim Mustapha from Serbian side Red Star Belgrade.
Mustapha put pen-to-paper under a three-year contract for an undisclosed transfer fee until the end of 2026 league season.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian joins 'The Black-Whites' with plenty of pedigree, having also played for Zlatibor Čajetina, Radnički Sremska Mitrovica and Novi Pazar on loan deals throughout his time in Serbia.
“We wanted to broaden our offensive line, especially in the centre forward position, so we brought in Ibrahim. We've had him on our radar for a long time and watched him live during our training camp in Belek," LASK sporting director Radovan Vujanovi said in a club press release.
The Black-Whites coach Dietmar Kühbauer also has this to say; "Ibrahim is a very active player who works well against the ball. He brings a lot of good skills to our offensive game. I'm very happy that the signing worked out in the home stretch of the transfer window.
"... My first impression of LASK is very positive, there is a real spirit of optimism. I'm looking forward to starting training tomorrow and starting the spring with LASK in the new Raiffeisen Arena," Mustapha expressed his excitement after completing his move on Tuesday.
