Danish Super Liga side FC Nordsjaelland have announced the signing of Ghanaian young midfielder Araphat Mohammed from its feeder club Right to Dream Academy.

The 18-year-old has been signed on a long-term contract as a direct replacement for Ibrahim Osman, who will be leaving FC Nordsjaelland to join English Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer. He has been acquired on a five-year contract worth £19.5 million by the English club.

The club's official statement reads “18-year-old Araphat Mohammed is the latest addition to the Right to Dream tribe, who will now become a permanent part of the Superliga squad.”

“The talented midfielder signed in January and now that the work permit and other paperwork has gone through, he has already started training with the Superliga squad.”

Araphat Mohammed, who is described as the next big thing in football, is yet to represent Ghana at any level.
