The talented teenage sensation of Ghanaian parentage is on cloud nine after making his first-team bow with the mainstream squad in their club's friendly on Thursday
Danish-born Ghanaian teen Malik Pimpong has expressed his excitement over his debut with Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland and has thanked manager Mike Tullberg for the ''trust'' reposed in him as a budding star in achieving such a great feat.
The 18-year-old, who enjoyed the full throttle of the game, netted a brace in addition to team-mate Dani Silva's strike to help his side defeat the Ukrainian outfit FC Kryvbas 3-0 in their friendly encounter in Spain on Thursday.
Following this remarkable feat, the Ghana-prospect promising talent has been full of praises for his manager and the entire coaching staff for helping him realised this dream as they look forward to integrating him into the senior team in the not-too-distant future from the U19 youth ranks.
Speaking to his club's official website after the match, the winger has said : ''I am really happy and grateful for the trust that Mike Tullberg and the rest of the staff have shown. Tullberg is a really good coach, and he helps us see the small details in our game. The entire staff has been nice, and they help with all sorts of little things now that we're coming up and trying our hand at first-team football.''
He added on making their debut with his other two youth team-mates : ''It means a lot that we can do this together. It's also great to see that things are successful for your friends from the U19s, it also makes me want to push myself to get better. We have a really good relationship. We can tease each other and get mad at each other, but in the end we are just really good friends who want the best for each other.''
Having netted on his senior team debut, Pimpong has also netted 16 times in 16 game appearances for the FC Midtjylland U19 side across all competitions in this current campaign.
Born in Denmark to former Ghana international Razak Pimpong, Malik remains fit to play for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Denmark U17 & U18 national youth teams.
