Ghanaian defender Stephen Acquah has signed a contract extension with Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjælland, committing his future to the club until 2030.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate has been rewarded with the new deal just 18 months after making the move from Ghana to Denmark.
Acquah has already established himself as a regular for Nordsjælland, making 22 first-team appearances across all competitions during that period.
“I am happy that I have now extended my contract with FC Nordsjælland, because it is something I have worked hard for,” Acquah said. “I was very proud when I made my debut in the Superliga, and now I am just looking forward to the future.”

The teenage centre-back is widely tipped to follow in the footsteps of former Nordsjælland players such as Mohammed Kudus and Ernest Nuamah, who used the club as a platform for further development.
Nordsjælland’s football director, Alexander Riget, praised Acquah’s progress and versatility.
“Stephen has developed a lot over the past year, and the autumn matches have shown that he is ready to fight for minutes in the Super League,” Riget said. “He has good physical potential, so he can handle himself in one-on-one duels, and at the same time he also has a nice calmness with the ball.
“He is also versatile, because even though we see him as a centre-back, he can also play right-back, for example. So we are happy to have extended Stephen’s contract so that he can continue his development here with us, and together we have made a good plan for his future.”
