Ex-Germany international Gerald Asamoah has flown fifty (50) surgeons and nurses to Ghana to offer treatment to children with hole-in-heart issues for free.
Asamoah was born in Ghana left the shores of the West African country at a tender age with his parents to Germany, where he started and ended his football career.
The Schalke 04 legend continued his philanthropic works in Ghana by covering bills and transporting 50 doctors to take care of children with heart conditions.
Ghana is among the nations in Africa where hole-in-heart has been a major concerns, claiming life of children and adults for the past decades.
Asamoah suffered heart condition named hypertrophic during his footballing career but it didn't hold him back entirely from playing.
A video that has since gone viral on social media, the German doctors are seen arriving at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) ahead of the task.

Asamoah, a member of the German team that reached the 2002 World Cup final and the 2006 World Cup team that won bronze medal, made 43 appearances for the four-time world champions, scoring six goals in the process.
He started his career with Hannover 96 in the late 90s before joining Schalke O4, where he spent most of his career playing in the German Bundesliga.
The Ghanaian-born German star later played FC Saint Pauli and Greuther Furth, before returning to Schalke where he currently works as a manager
