Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah is expected to complete a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah by the end of this week, according to multiple reports.

The 20-year-old, who turns 21 on December 14, is set to sign a five-year contract that will keep him at the Saudi Pro League side until 2030. The deal, which will begin with the 2025/26 season, comes after an agreement was reportedly reached between KRC Genk and Al-Qadsiah for a transfer fee of €15 million. The update was shared by Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri via his X (formerly Twitter) account.

Bonsu Baah joined Genk from Norwegian club Sarpsborg 08 ahead of the 2023/24 campaign. In his debut season in Belgium, he made 43 appearances in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists. His energetic performances and creativity on the flanks quickly made him one of Genk’s standout young talents.

His rise at Genk follows in the footsteps of fellow Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil, who also shone at the club before sealing a move to Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy.

Bonsu Baah’s excellent form earned him a call-up to the Ghana national team for the Unity Cup, where he featured in the third-place playoff against Trinidad and Tobago.

Al-Qadsiah, who finished fourth in the 18-team Saudi Pro League during the 2024/25 season, are strengthening their squad for a bigger challenge next season. The acquisition of Bonsu Baah is seen as part of the club’s broader strategy to inject youth, pace, and quality into their lineup as they look to build on their impressive campaign, which saw Al-Ittihad emerge as champions.
