German-born Ghanaian winger Jamie Leweling is on the verge of signing a contract extension with Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart, with the new deal set to come to a close in 2029, a report from the German media has stated.
The former Union Berlin flanksman has been an important figure at the MHP Arena and his impact has greatly been felt as he's set to be handed a contract extension in the coming days.
According to Sky Germany, Leweling will be witnessing a significant salary increment in his new deal and at the same time have his 20 to 25 million euros release clause phased out if he finally put pen to paper on the fresh term.
Since linking up with his current employers on a permanent deal during the summer of 2024, the former FC Nürnberg Youth man has so far lived up to his billings in the German top-flight.
He has so far netted once and assisted two in 15 games across all competitions for VfB Stuttgart in this ongoing Bundesliga 2024/25 season.
He has represented the Germany senior national team in the Uefa Nations League in October this year.
