Ghana centre-forward Antoine Semenyo continued his impressive performance with his second goal of the season to help AFC Bournemouth secured a famous 3-2 comeback win over Everton at Goodison Park.
Bournemouth produced an extraordinary late fightback as they came from two goals down after 87 minutes to beat shell-shocked Everton in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Everton had deservedly looked on course to register their first points of the season but the manner in which they spectacularly hit the self-destruct button was only matched by the remarkable scenes of visiting players celebrating after looking down and out.
Antoine Semenyo's tap-in from Dango Ouattara's left-wing cross to make it 2-1 appeared to be little more than a consolation for Bournemouth, who had been outplayed and outfought for the majority of the contest.
Instead it signalled a complete capitulation from the hosts, who were left holding on for a point when Luis Sinisterra crossed for Cherries captain Lewis Cook to level in added time.
But the Toffees crumbled to their third consecutive defeat when another delivery, this time from Justin Kluivert on the left, was nodded in by Sinisterra to give Bournemouth the sweetest of victories.
Semenyo has now scored two goals and provided an assist in three Premier League games in the ongoing season.
He was named in Ghana's squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Angola and Nigeria in September.
