Patrick Amoako Nuamah made his mark for Brescia in the round 16 of the Coppa Italia but couldn’t prevent a 3-1 loss to Monza at the U-Power Stadium on late Thursday afternoon.
Monza opened the scoring through Giorgos Kyriakopoulos just five minutes into the match, giving the hosts a perfect start. His well-placed stunner from close range put 'The White and Reds' ahead.
The opener was enough to maintain Monza's momentum as midfielder Matteo Pessina added another goal six minutes later, before Gianluca Caprari converted a spot-kick in the 40th minute to fire Monza in beast mode.
Brescia had the mindset to try to evaporate Monza's lead, as they scored a consolation in the 68th minute, with Nuamah notching on a fast break with his left-foot right from the center of the box, however, his goal was too little, too late.
Despite the defeat, Patrick Amoako Nuamah was one of Brescia's standout performers. Playing 44 minutes, as he was brought on in the 46th minute - subbing Giacomo Olzer he registered an xG of 0.86, took four shots—two on target—and provided three key passes.
