Ghana international, Kwadwo Poku, has admitted that his move to American second-tier side Miami FC was a right decision.

The 24-year-old enforcer agreed on a two and half year deal with the North American Soccer League side from New York City Fc.

"I am not here to prove anyone wrong because everybody knows what I can do," Poku told The Telegraph.

"I want to play. As a player you think about your career - you think about where you're going to end up and what is better for me now. You have to think about all that and then make a decision. I thought right now this was the best place for me and move on with my life"

"It's not bad [what happened at New York City]. It is what it is. Coaches come in and have their own systems. It is part of the job and you have to accept it as a player and move on.

"New York is a good city, nice people, the fans were great. It was a really fantastic experience for me."
