The English fifth-tier outfit have announced the capturing of the 19-year-old teenager of Ghanaian descent on a loan deal from his second division mother club until the end of the campaign
Italian-born Ghanaian teenager Ephraim Yeboah has joined National League club Carlisle United from Championship side Bristol City on a short-term loan contract for the remainder of the season, the club have confirmed.
The promising teenager, who has had loan spells with League Two club Doncaster Rovers and Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic, is set to complete the current season with the Cumbrians in the lower division contest.
A portion of a statement confirming the loan deal of the Bristol City U18 star reads: ''Carlisle United are delighted to announce the loan signing of attacker Ephraim Yeboah from Bristol City. Yeboah, 19, joins the Blues from the Robins until the end of the season to bolster United’s promotion push, with the deal also covering any potential involvement in the Enterprise National League play-offs.''
Head Coach Mark Hughes has told his club's official website: ''We are delighted to welcome Ephraim to the club at this important time of the season.He will bring strong attributes in terms of pace and goalscoring ability, combined with valuable experience for his age.
"His versatility allows him to operate across all forward positions, and, in addition, he will strengthen the squad depth and provide important options in attacking areas for the team and me.”
Recruitment Analyst Jacob Blain added: ''A versatile forward was something we were searching for going into the final push, and as soon as we knew about Ephraim’s availability, we had to move quickly to beat off stiff competition. Ephraim brings real pace to our forward line. We are delighted to get this over the line.”
The deal is subjected to ratification from The FA, EFL and National League. Yeboah will wear the number 25 shirt during his spell at Brunton Park.
Born to Ghanaian parents in Montirone, ltaly and moved to Bristol with his family at the age of eight, he remains eligible to play for either Ghana, Italy or England at the international level.
