Ghanaian midfielder, Salis Abdul Samed, says his progress is what motivated him to join Lens from Clermont Foot.
The 22-year-old completed his move to Lens for a reported €5 million this summer.
He scored one goal in thirty-one games in the Ligue 1 last season.
Salis earned his first call-up to the Black Stars ahead of the AFCON in Cameroon, before he was dropped under Milovan Rajevac.
Salis Abdul Samed insists that his ambition is to progress that's why he signed for Lens.
"Yes, it's true... But I wanted to discover something else even if, it's true, I didn't do many seasons in Clermont," he said.
"My goal is to progress and that's why I made this choice," he noted.
