The Ghanaian defender has sealed his transfer loan switch to the German Third-Tier outfit from his mother club on transfer deadline day
German 3. Liga side FC Magdeburg have announced the loan signing of Ghanaian centre-back Patric Pfeiffer from Bundesliga side FC Augsburg until the end of the ongoing football season.
The 24-year-old, who linked up with the German top-flight side on a free transfer last term, is set to spend the second half of the 2024-25 campaign at the FC Magdeburg-based club following his first half loan spell with Swiss top-tier side BSC Young Boys so far this term.
An excerpt over the loan deal of the Ghanaian defender read: ''FC Magdeburg has loaned Patric Pfeiffer for the rest of the second half of the season. The 25-year-old central defender was most recently on loan to Young Boys Bern and is under contract with first division club FC Augsburg. At FCM he will wear the number 3.''
Sporting director Otmar Schork commented on the capturing of the ex-Hamburger SV stopper via the club's official website: '' After Andi Hoti was loaned out, we saw a need for central defense. With Patric, we are getting a player with second division experience who can help us immediately.''
Club's manager Christian Titz added: ''I am pleased that Patric is now playing for us. I know him from our time together in Hamburg. With his skills, he is a complete central defender and he is a good size."
Pfeiffer failed to make the grade with BSC Young Boys in the Swiss Super League during his loan stint, hence his release by the Stadion Wankdorf campaigners this winter.
He is yet to earn his international cap with Ghana at the international level after switching nationality allegiance to represent the West African powerhouse.
