The English fifth-tier outfit have announced the loan signing of the youngster of Ghanaian descent from the second-tier side in this current transfer window
English-born Ghanaian winger Michael Adu-Poku has joined National League club Wealdstone FC from Championship side Watford on a 28-day youth loan, his parent club Watford have confirmed.
The 20-year-old wideman, who spent the first half of the season on loan at League Two club Barrow, has again been farmed out to The Stones in this second half of the 2025-26 campaign.
A statement confirming his loan deal reads on the club's official website: ''Michael Adu-Poku has moved to Wealdstone FC on a 28-day youth loan. The 20-year-old forward will continue his development with the National League club after returning from Sky Bet League Two outfit Barrow earlier this month.
''Adu-Poku signed a new three-year contract with the Hornets in October 2024 and has also had loan spells at Solihull Moors, Rochdale and Maidstone United. He has made three appearances for Watford’s first team, including two in the Sky Bet Championship.Good luck, Michael!''
Poku featured in 8 games for Barrow across all competitions in this ongoing campaign before returning to this mother club this January.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, Adu-Poku still remains fit to play for Ghana on the international stage as he is yet to be cap-tied by the England national team.
