English-born of Ghanaian descent, Kirsten Otchere got himself back on the scoresheet once again over the weekend after scoring for Leicester City in their 2-1 win over Southampton in the English U18 League.
The 16-year-old made the starting line up as usual, and made his presence really felt in the game throughout, having recorded four shots and a goal to propel the Young Foxes to a precious comeback.
Jay Robinson opened the scoring account for the Saints on the 36th minute. Sixteen minutes from the break, Kirsten scored to level things up before substitute Jake Evans also found the back of the net subsequently to seal the victory.
The versatile attacker currently has six-goal involvements since the commencement of the 2023/24 football season- having scored four and provided two assists in seven matches.
Leicester City are currently occupying the ninth spot on the U18 Championship log with nine points- and are only four away from cruising into the top four.
Kirsten Otchere will hope to continue with his explosive goal-scoring form when they travel to West Brom this weekend.
He's already featured for the England U16 national team and is open to playing for any of the Ghana national teams- where his father hails from.
