Al-Hilal Club, Omdurman, a prominent Sudanese football club, has announced its intention to take legal action against Ghanaian defender Imoro Ibrahim and two other players, Fabrice Ngoma and Lamin Gargo, for breaching their contracts.
Imoro, along with the two other players, reportedly violated the terms of their contracts on Tuesday, July 4, leading to the termination of their agreements. Al-Hilal Club states that it does not accept the reasons provided by the players and has decided to pursue legal proceedings to safeguard the club's rights.
Imoro, who previously captained Asante Kotoko, joined the Sudanese club in August 2022 on a three-year contract for an initial fee of approximately US$150,000. He still has two years remaining on his contract with the Blue Waves.
Notably, he played a significant role in the team's victory over Ahli Khartoum in the final of the Sudanese Cup in November 2022.
In June, Imoro, along with fellow Ghanaian David Abagna, temporarily returned to Ghana due to the political unrest in Sudan. However, he re-joined his teammates on Friday, June 30, in preparation for the upcoming season.
It's worth mentioning that he was absent from the team's recent 1-0 triumph over Tunisian side CX Sfaxien in the Arab Club Championship on Tuesday, July 4, held in Tunisia.
