The 29-year-old has seen his deal abrogated by the Danish top-flight campaigners following an uninspiring performances so far this term
Ghana international midfielder Ebenezer Ofori has been released by Danish Superliga side Vejle Boldklub, with his running contract which is supposed to run out in the summer of 2025, now being cut short as a result of unproductive spell for quite some time.
The Vejle Stadium outfit said the termination of the contract of the former VfB Stuttgart midfield enforcer came about as a result of his lack of game time over a period of time since linking up with them in 2022.
Sporting director Marius Adrian Nicolae confirmed the severing of ties with the former AIK man via his club's official website: ''With Ebenezer Ofori, we were in a situation where, on the one hand, we have a player who has been too far away from regular playing time for a long time, and where, on the other hand, we are looking forward to a winter transfer window and an upcoming expiry of the player's contract , which was not to be extended. It is therefore timely that we now say goodbye and thank you to Ebenezer Ofori for a professional and loyal effort for the club over the past almost three years.''
''In addition to the fact that Ebenezer Ofori has always been a stable, welcoming and unifying factor in the dressing room, he has played a decisive role for the team and the club, among other things in connection with promotion to the 3F Super League in season 2022-23. We won't forget him like that here in Vejle, and it is therefore also with good feelings and memories that we say goodbye to Ofo.''
''On behalf of everyone in and around Vejle Boldklub, I thank Ebenezer Ofori for his efforts in the club.''
Before parting company with the Reds, Ofori figured in 69 games for the Vejle-based club in the summit of Danish football competitions.
He currently boasts of 9 caps for Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars with a goal to his name.
