Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has confirmed the arrival of 13 buses promised to top-performing clubs in the Division One League and Women's Premier League.

These buses, intended as part of the GFA's commitment to supporting and rewarding excellence in Ghana's football leagues, are currently awaiting clearance at the port.

Okraku, speaking at the GFA's 30th Ordinary Congress, highlighted the challenges faced in clearing the buses and called on the government to assist in expediting the process. "In Kumasi, I discussed our new bus acquisition strategy, and as promised, the first 13 buses have arrived in Ghana. However, we've encountered difficulties clearing these buses from the port," Okraku stated.

Despite the delays, Okraku assured that the GFA remains committed to delivering the buses to the deserving clubs. "We have sought support from the government and are hopeful it will come through, but our promise remains firm. We will deliver these buses to our nine Division One clubs and four Women's Premier League clubs very soon," he added.

Looking ahead to the next season, Okraku also announced plans to continue this initiative by offering an additional five buses as part of the prizes: three to Division One League clubs and two to Women's Premier League clubs. This move underscores the GFA's ongoing efforts to enhance the resources available to clubs and strengthen the development of football across the country.
