The 1978 Nations Cup winner is boiling with anger over the nation's football governing body decision to retain the under-siege manager at the helm after failing to secure qualification for the next African continental showpiece

Ghana legend Mohammed Polo has said that the decision of the Ghana FA to maintain under-fire Otto Addo as the Black Stars coach is mind-bending, with the 49-year-old gaffer told the four-time African champions are currently facing serious problems  under his managerial role.

With Ghana failing to secure qualification to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco, the former Hearts of Oak manager is highly mystified about the decision to retain the tough-talking manager as he feels he is not competent enough to lead the African powerhouse in their quest to restore their fear factor on the continent.

''The Black Stars face a serious problem, and it all boils down to coaching. Despite the disappointment in the qualifiers, Otto Addo has been maintained. It’s surprising to keep a coach who couldn’t qualify Ghana for AFCON,” the Dribbling Magician as affectionately called by fans during his active playing days fumes in an interview with Ghanasoccernet.

The tell it like it is ex-Ghana international justifies his assertion over the ineptitude of the former Borussia Dortmund Trainer Scout following the appointment of German coach Winfried Anton Schafer as the Technical Advisor of the national football teams.

''If you appoint a technical advisor for him, it means the coach is not good enough. We should let him go and allow the technical advisor to take full charge of the team,'' he pointed out.
