Top Ghanaian referee, Juliet Appiah, has stated that officials of Hearts of Oak heaped praises on her after officiating their Democracy Cup match against Asante Kotoko.
Although after the game - Appiah was laid on the chopping board and was slammed for what fans believed she put up a subpar performance.
However, in an interview with Kessben FM, Appiah was satisfied with her output, stating that officials of Hearts of Oak lauded her officiating performance.
“When a football team loses a game, the loser always complains. However, after the game, Hearts of Oak officials applauded me for such an excellent officiating. I have not received any bad comment since officiating the game. Anyone who called applauded me for handling a game of such magnitude. You know Kotoko and Hearts of Oak games are not supposed to be played at night, so for me to handle the game without any bad incident tells you I did well," Appiah who doubles as a police officer said.
