Spokesperson of the Ayew brothers (Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew) Fiifi Tackie, has categorically denied reports speculating in the indigenous media that the two aforementioned players have announced their retirement from the Ghana senior men national team.

Initial rumours had it that, Andre Ayew, who is still the captain of the team, after his snub from coach Otto Addo's recent 26-man squad has called for an emergency meeting with the rest of the Ayew family with series of reports flying around that the two players are contemplating on retiring from the national team.

However, Fiifi Tackie, who happens to be their Public Relations Officer, quickly intervened with a long post on Facebook to rubbish the news and added the 'Ayews' are always eager, ready and committed to represent the country anytime they are called upon.

Whiles Jordan is currently in the camp of the Black Stars ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, his senior brother and skipper Andre Ayew is also in the country but for holiday purposes and is set to partake in the third edition of the All Star Festival which will be held in Tamale later this month.

The Black Stars have been in camp since last week having held series of training sessions and are expected to depart Ghana to Bamako today ahead of the crucial game against the Eagles of Mali on Thursday, June 6.

Also, they will host the Wild Beasts of Central African Republic afterwards in Kumasi on June 10.
