Former president of the Ghana Football Association has charged the domestic football governing body to see to it that the Black Stars will secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup.
The Black Stars failed to qualify to the Afcon for the first time in 21 years, managing just three points from their six matches in Group F, which included Angola, Sudan, and Niger.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Nyantakyi, a former top gun of African football urged the FA to put in the necessary measures in ensuring the Black Stars qualify for the global showpiece.
"The 2026 World Cup is a big deal for Ghanaians and should the Black Stars fail to qualify, Ghanaian citizens will not forgive the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
"The last time America hosted the World Cup was in 1994 and at the time, Ghana did not qualify, so the GFA and government should do everything possible to ensure the Black Stars qualif," he elaborated.
With the World Cup qualifiers set to resume in March, the Black Stars are second in Group I with nine points - Ghana will take on Chad and Madagascar.
