Executive board member of Hearts of Oak, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe is of the view that Kwesi Nyantakyi might have ascended the FIFA Presidency throne as the first black person if it was not for the Anas Aremeyaw Anas expose.
Nyantakyi was president of the Ghana FA from 2005 to 2018 and clutched important positions within the confines of FIFA and CAF.
However, his sterling career came to a sudden end following the 2018 Anas Aremeyaw Anas investigative expose, in which he used his anonymity as a tool in his investigative journalism work to uncover widespread corruption within the corridors of Ghana football.
"Nyantakyi would have been the first black man to head FIFA if the Anas exposé hadn't happened," Nyaho Tamakloe told Starr FM.
Nyantakyi led Ghana to three FIFA World Cup and two Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals, with Ghana finishing second at the 2010 AFCON and the 2015 edition, under his tutelage.
