Ghana humbled Senegal by 5-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium in the second leg of the final qualifying round to secure a spot in the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

The first leg ended 0-2 in favour of the Black Princesses in Thiés last week, thanks to a brace from Tracey Twum.

The Senegalese with an explosive start in the return encounter and surprisingly took the lead in just four minutes from kickoff to reduce the deficit.

Three minutes on, Ghana were presented with a chance to draw level but Mafia Nyame couldn't make it count and fired wide for a restart.

Finally on the 18th minute, Mafia Nyame redeemed herself with a sumptuous goal to level the score for the homesters having missed one, minutes later.

Five minutes later, the Princesses scored to jump in the lead for the first time in the game, thanks to a strong hit from Beline Nyarko.

Back from recess, Ghana continued to dominate and dictate the pace and pattern of the game until they were awarded a penalty on the 67th minute. Tracey Twum stepped up and scored to extend their lead.

The riots continued as Beline Nyarko made it 4-1 five minutes later with a beautiful strike that went into the top corner to complete his brace.

The Black Princesses stayed ruthless and scored on the 78th minute through Salamatu Abdulai who scored a striker's goal. It finished 5-1 after full time.

The Black Princesses with 7-1 on aggregate have qualified to the 2024 U20 Women's World Cup which will be held in Colombia and this will be their seventh appearance.
