Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Quartsin Gyasi has reaffirmed his dedication to the Black Stars, describing his debut for the national team as one of the most moving and career-defining moments of his life. The Italy-based forward emphasized that his journey with Ghana is far from finished.

Currently playing for Palermo in Serie B, Gyasi reflected on the honor of wearing the Ghanaian jersey, noting that the experience was just as significant for his family as it was for him personally.

“Making my debut for Ghana was an incredible moment, but even more so for my parents,” Gyasi said. “Representing your country is the pinnacle for any footballer because you carry the pride of a nation on your shoulders.”

The 28-year-old also spoke about the unforgettable feeling of performing in front of African and Ghanaian fans, calling it a memory he will treasure forever.

“It ranks among the proudest moments in my career. Playing in front of fans from Ghana and across Africa was truly special,” he added.

At the club level, Gyasi has had a solid campaign with Palermo, appearing in 10 Serie B matches this season and contributing his energy, experience, and versatility as the Sicilian side pushes for success in Italy’s second tier.

Despite limited recent action with the national team, Gyasi insists he is ready for future call-ups. He revealed that he maintains a positive rapport with Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, keeping in touch occasionally.

“I’m not closing the door on playing for Ghana again,” he said. “I have a good relationship with the coach, and we speak from time to time. My time with the national team isn’t over. If the opportunity arises, I’m always ready to step in.”
