Hearts of Oak have drawn a line in the sand ahead of the 2025 President’s Cup, with the club’s Public Relations Officer, Kwame Opare Addo, issuing a no-nonsense warning to rivals: “We mean business.”
Speaking with fiery conviction, Opare Addo confirmed what many Phobians had been hoping for; the Cup is a top priority.
“We are going to make sure that even though the team is on break, because we attach seriousness to this particular assignment,” he declared. “The team is going to get back on the 19th of June and start preparation to ensure that at the end of it all.”
After a string of overwhelming performances in recent editions, Hearts are not tired of being the brides. However, reports on our desk indicate that the Phobia board is planning a full-throttle approach, with a blend of experienced stars and hungry young talents expected to lead the charge.
Opare Addo didn’t mince words when asked about expectations:
“We send the Hearts of Oak family back home (after the game) with positive news.”
The President’s Cup, traditionally played in honour of Ghana’s sitting president, is more than just silverware.
And with bitter rivals Asante Kotoko also reportedly gearing up for a strong showing, football fans across the country can expect fireworks at the Accra Sports Stadium come July 6th, 2025.
